early December gave a report from the Seton Hall University serious doubt on the government's claims concerning the alleged simultaneous "suicide" of three prisoners in Guantánamo in June 2006. I have also written. Yesterday's Scott Horton of Harper's Magazine, an extraordinary new article in which the official version has been further called into question by new evidence provided the stomach turning around (many of them by guards Guanta ; namo), applying the presumption of close (without verification or conclusion) that these prisoners have been tortured to death, which was then covered up by her death was portrayed as a suicide. Scott's article should be read in its entire length, although Andrew Sullivan has handled some of the key revelations, including the motives of the guards, who identified the whole and the details of the torture of these prisoners have been exposed.
I would like to emphasize two points:

And this despite the fact that the abuse was so brutal and inhumane, that the death of helpless prisoners - including 08/15-Gefangene, almost certainly some of them completely innocent - had in many cases result. The death of three prisoners - as so many others in similar cases - shows how extreme is this myth that was created to cover up what has been done really.
(2) incidents like this underscore dramatically, which can only be described as the grotesque immorality of the "Look Forward, Not Back" consensus, to which our political class - led has agreed - the president.
